About

Each year, in conjunction with Ann Arbor SPARK, The Center for Digital Engagement offers a paid Digital Summer Clinic internship. This internship helps college students and recent grads from Southeastern Michigan find careers in digital. Interviews are typically conducted in May, with final offers made by Memorial Day.

Clinic interns gain practical experience in digital marketing and tech, connect with mentors and industry professionals, and receive guidance in developing a professional portfolio. Interns come from a broad range of majors, including Computer Science, Business, Communications, Media Arts, and more. Clinic projects routinely span all of these disciplines.

Interns work in teams of two for companies housed in Ann Arbor SPARK’s high-tech incubator. Teams take on a variety of projects, ranging from website and app development to content creation (written, graphic, photography, video), social media, and advertising.

75% of interns go on to jobs in the Southeastern Michigan high-tech economy with firms like General Motors, Domino’s, iProspect, Career Now Brands, Google, and more.

Interns work approximately 10 hours per week over nine weeks. The 2026 Clinic is running from June 8 to August 7. Pay is $20/hour, with 48 positions available.

Applications for the 2026 Clinic will open in early February.
