Tariq is a recent graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a major in Entrepreneurship. During the summer of 2022, Tariq completed an internship at Genomenon, Inc., a bio-tech company focused on human genetics, through the Digital Summer Clinic.
One of Tariq’s key responsibilities during his internship was conducting market research. He demonstrated his skills by identifying influencers for marketing campaigns within the field of human genetics, showcasing his ability to navigate complex industries and find impactful marketing strategies.
Throughout his internship, Tariq honed his professional communication skills and gained experience in operating a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. He learned the importance of segmenting and targeting different audiences, acquiring marketing skills along the way. Additionally, Tariq improved his proficiency in Excel, a vital tool in data analysis and reporting.
One of the challenges Tariq faced during his internship was time management. However, he successfully overcame this challenge by learning to prioritize tasks and manage his workload.
