Meet Tiarra, a recent 2022 graduate with a major in Marketing. Tiarra’s internship through the Digital Summer Clinic was at Perisense, Inc., an engineering company. She states that the internship was an enriching experience that taught her valuable lessons and skills. During her internship, Tiarra had the opportunity to participate in many excellent networking opportunities. She particularly appreciated the chance to learn from experts and speakers in weekly sessions, which helped her gain insights into different industries and broaden her skill set.
This internship allowed her to wear multiple hats, enhancing her skill set and providing her with a hands-on learning experience. She learned the importance of always being open to learning and growing, a lesson that has stayed with her. One of Tiarra’s significant contributions during her internship was implementing customer relationship tactics at Perisense, Inc. She organized customers and new leads, conducted outreach on LinkedIn, and even implemented a chatbot on the company’s website for customer service.
After her internship, Tiarra stayed on to help with social media outreach and content calendar creation, showcasing her commitment and dedication to her work. Despite starting with limited experience, Tiarra’s internship was a valuable learning experience that taught her important lessons in prioritization and professionalism.
